Signs of heatstroke

Short answer

Possible signs include confusion, poor coordination, seizure, loss of consciousness, very high temperature, fast breathing or hot skin without sweating. Call 999.

What to do

  • Call 999 immediately.
  • Move the person to a cooler place if safe.
  • Cool them while waiting.
  • Follow the call handler’s instructions.
